edition 04
This word has taken me the longest. Not because of lack of thought, but maybe because there was too much of it. There were in fact many attempts at writing this edition. That is, until I remembered that unlike other projects, this one I get to shape entirely.
You see, after all the thinking and writing, I reached the conclusion that I am happy to live with the mystery of what one's identity is or where it even comes from. And that in the words of Iris DeMent, I could simply let the mystery be.
The only question left was: what do I want to show? The Word is a project where I show how my mind works, the places it goes to. The fact that it is rooted in my professional life means that by nature, there is a filter to how I show up. And some parts of me rarely make it through this filter. This time, I am pulling the filter out.
I am curious whether this part of me will surprise some people, or even contradict what they know of me. And maybe it does. But I think that is human nature, and that is what makes it interesting.
In no particular order, here is a visual representation of: my love for wood and the peace it brings me; the anthroposophical philosophy and the world it opened within me; whimsy, always ,please; the beginning and end of human life, and my fascination with both; and my dream: a linen cabinet.
